Guess I need to find a usable USB KVM switch, soon. It would be nice if Apple at least sold a standalone display, so that when I finally can buy a new gaming PC (GPU shortages & pricing are insane), I don’t ALSO need to have TWO displays on my already-crowded desk. Result: own two computers again (consoles can bite my shiny metal ass). VMware has patched Fusion 12 - software that allows Mac users to run Windows 10 virtual machines on their macOS devices - to address compatibility issues. Now Apple is moving away from Macs even being able to run intel Windows software at all. Sadly, there hasn’t been a suitable desktop Mac in almost a decade (GPU, heat, etc).
The setup didn’t need to be 100% equal to a Windows PC in performance, just be comparable.
#Vmware fusion 7 compatibility mac os
It used to be that we could have a Mac for both Mac OS and Windows. The Desktop Hypervisor team at VMware is happy to announce the release of the latest update to Fusion 12, with changes to support macOS Monterey hosts, fixes for some persistent bugs, as well as improvements to the security and management of Fusion at scale. Purchase through the VMware online store. Unfortunately, gaming on Macs is nowhere near the level of gaming on Windows. In order to use VMware Fusion for Commercial purposes or as a function of your employment, you must purchase a commercial license from either or from your preferred VMware Partner or reseller. Sounds simple to you, doesn’t it? Thing is, I don’t want to have TWO computers to maintain. If you need to run Windows then buy a Windows PC.
